Advanced Directive Planning

There are many wonderful resources for planning the advanced directives around your end of life,

but sometimes the choices can be daunting.  In addition, understanding what these documents do (or do NOT do) is critically important to avoid disappointment and frustration in the final weeks and days.

The organization I trained with, Doulagivers Institute, provides a resource document called the “9 Choices” that can walk you through many of the common choices that ideally can and should be made ahead of time.

The West Virginia Center for End-of-Life Care has a robust advanced directive  planning site.

A lovely resource is the Five Wishes website, with resources for you and your family.

I would be honored to talk through these resources with you and your loved ones, to help you establish your wishes to be honored at the end of life.
